If your child has shown a strong interest and talent in art starting from the 4th grade, then applying for the Junior High School Art Program (Fine Arts) is an excellent path in middle school. Currently, there are five junior high schools in Tainan with art programs, offering students professional training and diverse opportunities. Below is a breakdown of exam information, registration process, and test subjects to help parents stay on track.

為什麼要提前準備？

每位孩子的學習速度、個性與是否接受過相關訓練都不相同。若能在 小五 開始討論是否報考，並安排素描、水彩與創意表現課程，將能更從容面對國中術科測驗。
每週3小時：升學素描、基礎水彩、創意表現

Every child learns differently depending on their pace, personality, and previous training. If you start discussing the exam in 5th grade and arrange lessons in sketching, watercolor, and creative expression, your child will be more confident facing the junior high entrance art test.
Recommended weekly practice: 3 hours — Entrance Sketching, Basic Watercolor, Creative Expression.

臺南市設有美術班的國中

目前大台南地區共 5 間國中設有美術才能班（美術類）：

• 北區 民德國中
• 永康區 永康國中
• 新市區 新市國中
• 麻豆區 麻豆國中
• 新營區 南新國中

招生與考試流程

以每年度教育局公告為準，通常時程如下：

簡章公告與報名日期：2月 (競賽表現入學&術科考試)
術科考試日期：3月
錄取公告：4月

招生名額：各校美術班新生一班，最多26人（男女兼收）。部分年度會開放插班生或轉學生招考，依各校簡章公告。

The admission process follows the Tainan Education Bureau’s annual announcements. The usual timeline is:

Application guide & registration: February (competition entry & art exam)

Art exam date: March

Results announced: April

Each school admits one new art class, with up to 26 students (both boys and girls). Some years, transfer or mid-year admissions may be open, depending on the school’s policy.

入學方式

方式一：以競賽表現入學

近二學年度（112年8月1日～114年2月27日），參加教育部主辦之 全國性（全國學生美術比賽）或國際性美術競賽，個人組獲前三等獎（特優、優等、甲等）。

台南東區畫室 童黏童畫以往非常多同學榮獲全台南前三名 全國前三名，直接競賽錄取美術班。

方式二：術科設計

測驗項目與比例：

• 素描：40%   水彩：30%   創意表現：30%     
• 測驗地點：台南市美術班國中輪流舉行

Path 1: Competition Entry
If within the past two academic years (Aug 2023 – Feb 2025), the student has won a top 3 prize (Special, Excellent, or A grade) in a national (MOE-sponsored) or international art competition, they can apply through portfolio review.

Many students from Tong Nian Tong Hua Art Studio have proudly achieved Top 3 in Tainan and nationwide competitions, allowing them direct admission without needing to take the art test.

Path 2: Art Examination
Exam subjects and weighting:

Sketching: 40%

Watercolor: 30%

Creative Expression: 30%

The exam location rotates among Tainan’s art program schools each year.

Q1：誰可以報考臺南市美術班？
凡設籍臺南市且為國小應屆畢業生或畢業生，皆可報考，不受學區限制。
